    2022 Small-Bore Rifle (.22 rimfire) Shooting Schedule

    Every Wednesday, May through September

    MAY 4     MAY 11     MAY 18     MAY 25  etc..

    Hi-Power Rifle matches are held on the FIRST SATURDAY starting in May, finishing in September, and are held at the 100-meter range. 

    Required: a hunting/sporting rifle that can be loaded singly and with 4 rounds; 34 rounds of ammo. Eye and hearing protection. Any sights: scoped or iron aperture. Open sights are a challenge. Highly recommended: an adjustable sling, such as Mod 1907 leather. Nice to have: a shooting mat and scope. Not recommended or allowed: muzzle brakes or compensators. Mandatory safety meeting at 9:30 a.m.; shooting starts at 10. Prone, off-hand, and sitting/kneeling. Fee: $10.00


    Small-Bore Rifle (.22 rimfire) matches are held Wednesday afternoons or evenings, beginning May 4, to be announced DeWars: 50-and 100-yd prone; International Palma: 100-yd prone; ISU: 50-m, 3 positions; SB steel silhouette: off-hand at 40, 60, 77 and 100 meters; Creedmore: 200-yd prone Two divisions: hunter / unmodified and heavy/modified target held at the small-bore range (shotgun range/adjacent 200-yd bay will be closed to open shooting during the match). The main pistol bay will remain open, but park your vehicle in the entry lot.

    Also taught is basic rifle safety and handling.
